Songs for the Holy Other aims to provide congregations with a toolbox of hymns by and for those who identify as members of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies. This resource provides over 40 different pieces of worship music. A detailed information of copyright permissions is included. It can be accessed online after a one question survey.

Renaming

As United Methodists, we believe that God does it right the first time when it comes to baptism and because of this we do not practice re-baptism. As a trans person transitions, they may question whether their baptism is valid, especially if they adopt a new name. We believe that the grace of God is far more vast than our human understandings of gender. In lieu of rebaptism, we recommend this Affirmation of Baptism with Name Change (source unknown) and full Service of Renaming (artwork from Charlie Baber) to use or adapt for your context.

The Many

The Many is an intentionally diverse music collective writing music of peace, justice, and a world where all belong. They offer sheet music for many of their songs as well as full liturgies that incorporate their music for sale in their store.
