Re-You-Nite
Re-You-Nite is an annual loving and inclusive statewide event for youth in grades 7-12 of all orientations and identities in the name of Christ held at Lake Harriet UMC in Minneapolis.
This year’s keynote speaker is J.J. Warren, a seminary student at Boston University School of Theology and a certified candidate for ordination in The United Methodist Church (UMC). J.J.’s impassioned speech calling for inclusion of LGBTQ+ persons at the UMC’s top law-making assembly went viral and he has been covered by numerous news outlets. His first book, Reclaiming Church: A Call to Action for Religious Rejects is now available from Abingdon Press. A full bio can be found at www.lakeharrietumc.org/re-you-nite/.
Workshops this year include:
Discerning Your Call to Ministry as Queer Youth
